It is the policy of the Pendleton Community Public Library to forward delinquent accounts to collections. Only accounts that exceed $200 in replacement charges will be sent to collections.

Accounts turned over to collections may only be resolved through the library’s attorney, the Library Director, or Public Services Librarian. Accounts that have been sent to collections will remain blocked until they are completely resolved and paid in full. Payment plans may be established to assist patrons in paying their fees. Payment plan timelines may not exceed 6 months.

Collections for juvenile accounts will be sent to the adult who signed the library card application as the “responsible party.” The delinquent juvenile account will be blocked, as will all personal cards held by the responsible party. Blocks will remain on all accounts until fees are paid in full.
